I have put together a selection of songs that could be considered to be ‘sad bangers’ – that they have energy and are primed for the dancefloor, but convey some form of heartbreak. It is an interesting phenomenon and, whilst some might say some of the tracks in the playlist are not sad bangers, I think there is a dichotomy and contrast that means (the songs) will give you energy, but the messages are not quite as charged as the music.
